Math Websites

Cool Math Games - Probably one of my favorite math sites, Cool Math is "designed for the pure enjoyment of mathematics." This interactive site features a plethora of fun games, puzzles, calculators and lesson plans. (edutopia.org)

Khan Academy - This popular fast growing math library provides thousands of videos with alternative, engaging instruction in math, finance, and history. Constantly expanding and improving, this is a rich resource for instruction and learning.(Learning Liftoff)

Learn Your Tables - Learn Your Tables is a nice interactive site that allows students to practice their multiplication times tables. Learn Your Tables is ideal for introducing topics on an interactive whiteboard (not that you'll have one over summer, but it's good for thinking about next school year), and for extension material on individual computers or in a lab.

Math Blaster - Part of the JumpStart family of educational games, Mathblaster is aimed at developing math skills in a fun, arcade-like environment.

Math Ninja AR - IOS only - Math Ninja AR uses the latest technology, augmented Reality or “AR”, to get kids involved in learning addition. The Math Ninja Series has especially proven to work with kids who don’t like learning or who fall behind by gaining their interest and building motivation.  This new app aims to gain extra attention by combining Augumented Reality with education. Prodigy Math - Prodigy is an epic adventure math game that will engage students in the quest at the same time they are learning math. The questions are actual math problems that must be solved in order to continue the quest. Prodigy Math is currently used in 1st - 6th grades at SHS but is designed through 8th grade.
